ANGEL INNISS (2015)
Angel is an alumni of Spotlight dance company. She has won a number of top awards and dance titles for her dance skills, including the prestigious NYCDA Foundation's 2014 Adele Astaire College Scholarship and many soloist titles at regional and national dance competitions.
ALLIE GEE (2010)
Allie began her dance training at Spotlight Studio of Dance. She entered the competition circuit at a young age and throughout that time, she won many title awards, including Miss Dance of the United States in 2010. She graduated summa cum laude from The Boston Conservatory under the direction of Cathy Young. While studying at The Boston Conservatory, Allie had the privilege to perform works choreographed by Twyla Tharp, Karole Armitage, Francesca Harper, Trey McIntyre, Gerald Arpino, José Limón, and many others. She was also given the honor of receiving the Anamarie Sarazin Scholarship, a scholarship given to an outstanding senior in ballet technique.
During her collegiate studies, Allie developed a love for contemporary ballet. She pursued such passion by furthering her training at the LINES Ballet and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet summer intensives. After graduation in May 2014, Allie moved to New York City and started working with Ballet Inc. She is currently in her first season with the Steps Repertory Ensemble under the direction of Bradley Shelver.
KIM GRIFFITH PETRUCCI (2002)
Congratulations to Kim Petrucci who was recently promoted to Rehearsal Choreographer with Royal Caribbean Productions. Kim is now in her eleventh year with Royal Caribbean after having traveled to over 75 countries and every continent except Antarctica. Kim's is now responsible for directing the choreography for production casts on board some of Royal Caribbean's largest and most well known ships and itineraries. Together with the technical team, she makes sure that the cast knows about all of the technical elements and moving parts of the production, and rehearses the cast until the show is ready for opening night.
Kim's new position with Royal Caribbean will allow her to continue to travel the world while also allowing her to develop her directing skills and maintain a home with new husband Kevin in Canada.
An alumnus of Point Park College, Kim is a product of the McGovern Method of Conditioning and is also a certified McGovern Method instructor. When in the Baltimore area, Kim can sometimes be found teaching class and choreographing for Spotlight. See her bio on our Guest Faculty page.
When not working and traveling, Kim is a pure barre and fitness enthusiast, dance teacher and choreographer, and expert crocheter. Look for Kim to be opening her own Etsy crochet shop soon.
KAMILLE UPSHAW (2007)
We are looking forward to seeing Spotlight alumnus Kamille in the New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall costarring Laura Benanti and Derek Hough running now through May 3, 2015.
Born in Washington, DC, Kamille found her love for dancing at the age of three. In addition to dancing at Spotlight, Kamille studied at The Baltimore School for the Arts, Springboard Danse Montreal, Hubbard Street dance Chicago and received a BFA in dance from The Juilliard School. As a 2011 graduate, Kamille has worked with Darrell Grand Moultrie, Metropolitan Opera “Faust”, Rasta Thomas's Bad Boys of Dance, Alicia Keys on the BET Honors, graced the cover of the July/August 2013 issue of Dance Spirit Magazine, First National Tour of "Flashdance the Musical”, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company.
ZOLA WILLIAMS (2005)
Look for Zola in Seth McFarlane's new movie Ted 2, coming to US theaters on June 26, 2015. Zola will be dancing in the opening credits sequence in a number choreographed by Rob Ashford. Zola's other recent credits include The Lion King Las Vegas and North American touring companies, music videos "27" by Passenger, and "Shia LaBeouf: Live" choreographed by Stacey Tookey.
Zola is an Instructor at Cardio Barre Santa Monica and Cardio Barre Beverly Hills, CA and also instructs at UpRise Classical Pilates and Wellness Center in Santa Monica, CA. A former member of Spotlight Dance Company (graduated 2005), Zola is a graduate of University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
